Go Fly a Kite!

Please join the Petersen Family in celebrating the amazing life of Bob/Pete/Captain in the Annual “Kites for Captain" every April 25th. Captain loved flying kites and dazzled everyone with his original Peter Powell stunt kite, circa 1972, emblazoned with a UDT Frogman!

One of Bob’s most unique and wonderful qualities was the way he could connect to people and stay connected. Bob taught by example and his lasting friendships from his paper route buddies, fellow Eagle Scouts, classmates, teammates, coaches, fraternity bothers, UDT/Seal teammates and business associates, to his many loyal customers are a testament to his huge heart... to his passion for life... to his effect on those he loved. Even now, Bob is helping people connect, reconnect and stay connected! Our goal is to follow his example and stay connected through this blog.

April is National Kite Month, and we think it’s a perfect way to honor and remember our husband/ father/brother/friend, so wherever you are on April 25th, please, Go Fly a Kite! If you’re here in Naples, join us at Delnor Wiggins State Park for a Sunset Kite Flying Salute. We’d love for you to share your experience on that day, so send your story to baysidebaskets@att.net and Stay Connected!
